Verderflex tubing for peristaltic pumps
For safety reasons we do not recommend pumping liquids greater than 85°C (185°F) Verderflex produces a range of tubing that matches the requirements of the wide and varied applications for of its tube pumps. A selection of standard tube materials are available for use with the Verderflex range of tube pumps with special tubes available on request. However, not all tubes are suitable for use in a peristaltic pump. The following criteria are important when selecting a tube:
Verderprene - General purpose tubingThe best choice for use in peristaltic tube pumps. This tube has:
Silicone - Ideal for higher temperaturesA translucent medical/food grade tubing which is odourless, non-toxic and has FDA and USP Class VI approvals. It is
Tygon - Chemical fluids tubingSpecifically designed to handle most fuels and industrial lubricants this tubing resists the swelling and hardening caused by hydrocarbon based fluids. These propertiessignificantly reduce the risk of failure due to cracking and leakage.
Viton - Aggressive chemical tubing
Viton is strong, resilient and flexible tube which provides excellent resistance to corrosive chemicals, oils, fuels, solvents and most mineral acids. It can also handle corrosive chemicals at temperatures as high as 204°C.
