During the design stage of a new Biodiesel plant in Argentina, Interpump was contacted to provide a quote for several types of pumps for metering and transfer of the aggressive chemicals and slurries used throughout the ethanol production process. The design consultant was faced with the challenge of selecting a pump that could not only handle a range of harsh products but also provide precise dosing capabilities. He also needed to ensure that the set flow was maintained regardless of system pressure fluctuations and pump wear. The Verderflex pump range provided ideal characteristics to deal with the requirements of the application.
